Reading out loud

Reading out loud has two options: realistic using OpenAI’s text to speech or highlighted using Apple’s built int text to speech functionality.

Using realistic option will download an audio file the first time the audio is played. The first time download may take from 25-80 seconds. The audio is subsequently saved on device so the playback is immediate.

This will help students retain information better even used after reading out loud will provide repetition that is helpful for retaining information.

Quiz

Students can take the pre-generated quiz on the reading passage.

They can review reading material while they are taking the quiz by selecting the book icon with the label “Review Reading”.

Their scores can be saved for your records.

Navigate to Creator’s Library

Features to create and modify content are accessible with subscription. Click on book icon on top left to select monthly or annual subscription.

Create Story

You can create a story by using AI, manually writing typing in the story, pasting it from website or digital book, or by taking a photo using the camera icon. When using the camera, make sure the binding is flat and you have a clear photo.

AI Story generation, by limit of the API used, takes from 25-70 seconds to generate depending on length of the text.

Modify Story

You can modify the story to a different reading grade level.

This process, like other AI generated content, may take from 25 seconds to 80 seconds depending on length of the text.

Create Quiz Questions

You can create 5 wh questions using AI or you can write them in yourself.

The questions can be generated all at once or one at a time. You have option of editing the questions manually or regenerating individual questions.
